The Changing Pharmacy Paradigm
The pharmacy world is ever-changing, influenced by science advancements, as well as political, industry, technology, and social pressures. Rising pharmacy costs, especially specialty medications, remain a primary concern for plan sponsors. For this BHC Pharmacy Meeting, we welcome Eric Michael and Heidi Scheppmann from PwC’s National Pharmacy Practice to address emerging topics of interest in the pharmacy landscape, including gene therapies, mortgage-style payments, reimportation of prescription drugs, point-of-service and reinvested rebates, coupons, and PBM programs and management strategies to support employers in navigating these new challenges. The meeting will close with an update on the 2019 market check process for the BHC’s Pharmacy Management Initiative, providing employer members an opportunity to ask questions and obtain clarification.
