According to Mercer’s national benefits survey, one-third of employers with 5,000 or more employees have established a medical clinic at or near the worksite, with another 11% considering this addition in 2019. Recognizing the potential growth in this benefit offering, the BHC embarked on an exploration of worksite clinics in 2016, including an assessment of national vendors and clinic models; a feasibility analysis for member companies; and case study examples of clinic impact. As a result of this process, Francis Howell School District and Parkway School District partnered with CareATC to open near-site clinics for teachers and staff in the fall of 2018.


For this meeting, we welcome Kevin Supple, Chief Operating Officer, for Francis Howell School District, and Patty Bedborough, Chief Financial Officer, for Parkway School District, to share their worksite clinic experience, including challenges, successes, and employee utilization and feedback to-date. Erin Murray, Benefits Manager, Francis Howell School District, will also provide an update on programs that have positively impacted the mental well-being of staff on-the-job. The meeting will close with a special “Coffee with Consultants” conversation with Willis Towers Watson, as they discuss employer tactics for value-based care and direct contracting initiatives to improve employee health plans.
