Avoidable Emergency Department Trends

Join us for an inaugural Data Roundtable meeting open to BHC employer members and Midwest Health Initiative (MHI) MedInsight users! Hear insights from MHI’s Community Collaboration to Improve Appropriate Emergency Department (ED) Utilization. Last year, we highlighted how often patients seek care in an Emergency Department (ED) that could more safely and affordably be provided in a doctor’s office. On March 22nd, we will review MHI’s results. How does your organization’s experience compare to that of the St. Louis region? We will review ED, urgent care, and primary care utilization and discuss how results differ by major medical group. Attendees will have an opportunity to see how MHI employs the MedInsight tool to support community partners, provide powerful insights about how care is delivered in the St. Louis region, and uncover opportunities to improve quality and affordability.
